– Plug for foot switch (foot switch as option, see Cat.-No.: 1060/7)
How it is used:
In lampworking and scientific glass work, a precision lathe is used to hold glass or quartz tubing securely while the work is rotated concentrically through the flame. This controlled rotation helps maintain symmetry, improves wall consistency, and makes it easier to execute clean seals, joins, and transitions.
On the Mini 1060, the operator uses the control panel to select right or left turning direction, start and stop rotation, and manage braking and clutch functions. Spindle speed is adjusted via the potentiometer for the heat size and viscosity of the glass being worked. The operating panel also includes emergency stop control and provisions for a foot switch connection, allowing hands-free speed or start-stop control when equipped with the optional foot switch.
